Ces quatre chorégraphes aux styles très différents entraînent les danseurs de l’Opéra dans une nouvelle forme de modernité, tout en intensité. Une soirée plurielle pour les Etoiles, les Premiers Danseurs et le Corps de Ballet de l’Opéra de Paris, le tout réalisé par Cédric Klapisch ! En ouverture de cette soirée dédiée entièrement à la danse, James Thierrée s’empare des espaces publiques du Palais Garnier. Avec cette première de "Frôlons", il plonge ainsi l’Opéra de Paris et son public dans un univers onirique. La Canadienne Crystal Pite prend la suite avec "The Seasons’ Canon", une oeuvre éblouissante qui avait enthousiasmé le public du Palais Garnier la saison dernière. Une chorégraphie sensuelle rythmée par une relecture des "Quatre Saisons" de Vivaldi par Max Richter. C’est ensuite à l’Espagnol Iván Pérez de jouer avec la scène de l’Opéra de Paris. Pour sa première collaboration avec l’institution parisienne, le chorégraphe a inventé "The Male Dancer" : une création pour dix hommes évoluant sur une musique d'Arvo Pärt. Pour clore cette soirée, l’Israélien Hofesh Shechter - régulièrement salué pour ses danses telluriques proches de la transe – nous offre une nouvelle version de sa pièce "The Art of Not Looking Back". Un final en beauté. Eine sinnliche Choreographie im Rhythmus der vier Jahreszeiten von Antoni Vivaldi in einer Neuinterpretation von Max Richter. Danach erleben wir eine Choreographie des Spaniers Iván Pérez. Für seine erste Zusammenarbeit mit dem Pariser Opernhaus hat der Choreograph „The Male Dancer“ kreiert: Ein Werk für zehn männliche Tänzer zu einer Musik von Arvo Pärt. Den Schlusspunkt des Abends bildet der Israeli Hofesh Shechter. Er ist bekannt für seine erdverbundenen Tänze, die in tranceähnlichen Zuständen enden.
