His speech in Namur about holidays.

You know how it feels when you are leaving on holidays since last 10-12 month?

The first day it's delicious.

Two weeks ago the first day for me was delicious.

And then the whole week in Greece was one big s**t. To be honest people were everywhere....

I think he continued after this but the video stopped here. Maybe someone has the next part?

Thanks. So he continues:

People was everywhere. Nasty people.

And honestly while you have been living several months on a tour, a year surrounded by the energy like this here. And then you were going on holidays ... Don't worry. I took my lesson. During this s**ty week I had everything. Everything: storms.. like for everyone.

There was this moment when I was at the airport. They cancelled our flight. People in front of me we fighting for the last ice cream in the fridge...  I closed my eyes and I thought about one moment from my concerts during last months and last weeks.

And especially about one melody. And I said to myself. F**k this airport. I am thinking only about this.

(and he starts to sing la la la la la la la)

Since last year I have been wanting to spend one hour in an Airbus simulator. We have one in Cracow.

It looks very realistic.

It must be cool to feel like really sitting at the captain chair!

We have one or two as well near our airport. I want to go there some time.Have to  google it if it is still there.

When i was in the 6thgrade our physics teacher invited us to a day with flying lessons and theory, so i know how fun that is. Altough not so much the theory part.

Mika's way of telling his fans that he loves them (especially when singing Jane Birkin's la la la) :wink2: He thinks about us in hard moments of his life!

So how can we expect him to tell Andy directly what we wanted to say in Moi Andy et Paris?:bleh:

Well, he did tell us directly that he loves us several times last year. Of course it's a nice thought that he misses his gigs & fans while he's on holiday :lol3: but that moment during JB just IS amazing and something to think about to make yourself feel better. :wub2: (and makes me wonder again why he doesn't sing this song at each of his gigs instead of just in french-speaking areas :dunno:). I hope I can hear it again in Basel ... it might be in the German-speaking part of Switzerland but at his last gig in Basel in 2010, after starting in German, he later spoke in German, English and French, as the crowd was so international. :lol3: and even sang a bit of GK in French.

I am absolutely hoping to hear French songs in Basel too !!!!

Any sightings? What's he up to?

I almost replied to that, "if he's not on holiday, he's probably doing TV and private gigs". 🙈

But at least we can still try to figure out WHERE he's doing that. :teehee: Thanks Eriko! :flowers2:

Ooh, he's had a haircut. Keeping it neat/easy to manage for upcoming tv work? Or getting on top of it before entering the unruly mophead creative phase? :naughty::wub2:

Or he's all rebellious, bereaving the rich VIPs of his beautiful curls and saving that for his fans next month. :naughty:

To be fair, we're heading into cold weather. Gotta be easier to wear his hats without having to wrestle the curls in too. :lmfao::wub2:

Wouldn't longer hair be better tho for cold temperatures? 🤔 But maybe he's off to Miami or LA now, to work on his album, and needs his hair fixed for a few weeks in hot temperatures.

Vincent back on piano. Wonder if he'll be in Basel too?

I wonder if Max is not at this Brussels gig? He's touring in the UK with Alban - thought they might have flown over for an evening, but Max just posted a pic from the UK - which ofc could be from a different day, but then why wouldn't Alban fly over as well? Then again, has Mika done ANY gig without Max in the last 10 years or so? :dunno:

Massimo was so nice to answer my question - Max is there. :teehee: https://www.instagram.com/stories/massimobarbieri2/3479629199683248081?igsh=NGxpcGdlbzB4bTRs

The location is "Sparks Meeting", which seems to be some convention centre in Brussels.

Just watched a few short clips from private gigs. Must say I find them super depressing to watch. The audience really does not appreciate Mika at all as much as in concerts with us REAL fans it seems!!??
A big part of the beauty of his shows is this joint energy between us and him, no? He feeds off the audience and vice versa.
Cannot imagine he enjoys private gigs as much but I guess he knows that earning that money allows him freedom (financially I mean) to come up with creative amazing tours.

He once said that he likes the challenge of convincing a crowd that is not "his". I suppose it's a better way to earn money for an artist than random ads for cars or phone companies. Even if I'm always jealous when people get to see him in such a super small setting, because for normal gigs it wouldn't be financially worth it for him to do it just for 100 or 200 people. Tho you can bet that if necessary I'd pay 300€ or more for a full acoustic club gig! 😅 (wait... I think I did, for the Monaco one, even tho it was bigger and not acoustic 🙈). Curious about how close Basel will come to that. It's 1500 people, but it's a cozy setting. Might be similar to Monaco, just with more fans.
