Gave It All Away (Life in Cartoon Motion) promo cd

Hi, I'm new to the mfc (ignore the cringe nickname) so I don't know very well how It works but I'll try my best.

I read the guidelines and I hope this is the right place to discuss about it.

Well, I know there is a Life in cartoon Motion promo CD around that in Its 11 tracks also contains a song called Gave it all Away.

I was wondering if any of you happens to own a copy of this CD and if so, you would be willing to share some infos/pics of It since I don't really know much about it and I can't find any copy online, but knowing what It's like would make It easier for me to find It somewhere else.

Actually, I don't think Gave It All Away was ever on any CD, not even a promo. I have six or seven different versions of Life in Cartoon Motion and it's not on any of them. There is a demo of the song floating around the internet somewhere, and the group Boyzone recorded it years ago. Mika even joined them in singing it once. (see below) But I'm nearly 100% certain it was never recorded and put on a Life in Cartoon Motion CD.

 

I could be wrong, and would be interested in learning more about the promo CD, too, if it does exist.

According to Discogs there was a promo sampler from Universal just called "Mika" which has versions of some of the LICM tracks (but not the album versions).  This lists Gave It All Away as a track.  However, I've never seen a copy offered for sale.

Apparently it is in a clear plastic cover, the disc is stamped "Promotional Copy - not for resale", and the track listing looks like it has been photocopied.

 

It sounds a bit dubious to me, like some of the unofficial versions of Mika recordings that crop up from time to time.

I can tell pretty surely that this promo cd exists because I've talked with someone who received it from universal as a press exclusive release but then sold it in 2010 on Discogs. I also got in touch with someone who still owns it

I've never heard the song in LICM.
