mellody
Seems to be in the RER area of Paris, right? I certainly prefer Mika-only gigs/festivals to these big festivals with many artists, but I'll consider this - of the August dates so far it's the most doable for me. Need my dose of Mika once a month, lol! 😅 Does anyone know this festival? Are tickets likely to sell out quickly?

mellody
Just bought a ticket - of course without checking accommodation first. I saw that it's easy to get there by RER from Paris, but I thought there'd be some hotels nearby - well, not really... so I guess it must be possible to use the RER back to Paris after the show, so all those who are going can go back? Does anyone know how long it usually runs, and will some of you be going back to Paris by RER as well, so I'm not on my own? I think some areas of Paris aren't really nice at night... Anyway, I guess that means no waiting for Mika after the show for me ... but he usually doesn't come out to meet fans after festivals anyway, so I suppose I'm not missing much. I decided to go as it seems to be the last gig of the summer festival tour (if that changes, I might change my mind again... ) and because it's in France, so I hope to hear some more of the new French songs again. I missed them at the UK gigs, and I suppose that in Lucca and in Germany he won't play many of them either. Maybe Jane Birkin if we're lucky. I guess there'll be some in Orange, but with a symphonic arrangement ofc it's a different mood.

I was interested to go as well but as I prefer to have a hotel close to the venue and they are very expensive and not very close to the gig area I gave up. So no waiting for Mika after the show as you said if you don't stay close to the venue. You have to think about catching the train to be able to go to Paris.

I'll decide after Carcassonne if I need another gig and also know if I'll have to work this weekend or not. If I go , I'm ok to go back with you Edited May 31 by carafon
vanessa-love-mika
I will also go back to Paris after the show, I can't find anywhere to sleep too close to the venue... Do you already know if which area of Paris do you plan to sleep?
LeylaDalkic
Hey everyone! I’m debating if I should fly to France to go to Essone en Scene. I will have to book flights and accommodation etc. and it might be expensive, but I’m worried this is his last show for a long time. does anyone know if it’s worth it? As there’s other artists I assume he won’t do a long set list.. can anyone tell me, does he do frequent shows throughout the year? I’m worried this could be the last time to see him for so long

Its a bit expensive and i cant give u information how long he peform but I feel like that Mika will have a longer break after having such a long and intense tour which is why i use this chance! mellody
If anyone still needs a ticket, I have one, as I've finally decided not to go to this one. I'd love to hear the French songs again, might be the last chance for that... but the last trips got more expensive than planned, due to bus and train delays and me having to book alternative travels, so I really can't afford anything else at this point. It's an e-mail ticket, so I can send it to you directly. Edit: Ticket is gone On 7/11/2024 at 12:47 PM, LeylaDalkic said: Hey everyone! I’m worried this could be the last time to see him for so long I assume he'll be doing more gigs when the English album is out, but of course we don't know when that will be. If we're lucky, he might finish it this year, so it could be out in Spring - he said for a while now that he's writing it, but with all that he's doing, tour and TV, I doubt he had much time for that so far. But I hope it won't take too long til he's doing more gigs, especially in the UK and Spain where he's doing The Piano, it would be a shame if he didn't build on that exposure. As for the setlist, he's the headliner, so I assume it'll be a full show of 1,5 hours. If you want to hear some songs from QTTFT, this indeed might be the last chance. But in any case I'm sure it'll be a fantastic gig, as it's apparently the last one in France for this summer. End of the tour gigs are always the best. Martina Josefsson
Hi there, does anyone know what sort of time Mika's show starts in Essonne on 31st August? Since he is the headliner, I'd assume around 21.00h or so? I have checked the festival's website and social media but could not find any run times for the artists.

That huge lightning symbol looks scary! 😅 Anyway my weather app says it's dry in the evening/night and only raining in the afternoon. So fingers crossed for you guys! If it's just local thunderstorms you never know where they will go, so you might be lucky. In Schwetzingen the storm only arrived at the end of Mika's gig, although it had been forecasted for 8 or 9pm at first.
