KING MIKA

He was expected, hoped for, desired. Mika arrived on stage, dressed all in white. This Sunday, August 25, during the festival, Roi Arthur, the star of tangy pop made the Bréal sky shine until the end of the night. He rubbed shoulders with the stars, during a bouncy concert where the youth of Rennes showed the dashing singer that they had mastered his repertoire at their fingertips.

For an hour, the star wet his shirt and his costumes (changed several times). He chained together his dancing refrains, in an electric atmosphere where the older ones swayed their hips limply and the younger ones transformed into "Mickas Bis". Keeping the rhythm was a challenge, catching one's breath, a test! But Micka, defying the laws of gravity, twirled with the lightness of an elf from the nearby Brocéliande forest. "Health is about moving," he dared to say between two moon jumps. "Love yourself," he added.

Between two melodies, Micka sometimes took a crowd bath among his fans. Between two songs, he proudly waved the Breton flag in homage to his friend, Jane Birkin. With his spit, sometimes in combat, he led the audience in rounds of happiness. For his last summer festival, the star created a forest of cellphone lights. For the last one of King Arthur, the atmosphere was certainly electric and eclectic. It brought the festivities to a grand close, where ultimately the gloomy weather of the first few days was quickly forgotten in the hearts of the festival-goers. Roll on next year.

« Elle me dit », « Grace Kelly », « Happy Ending ».

Could anyone explain / translate what Mika says ? Thank you.

This is my first draft I miss a few words and I will add them later by editing but this is what I translated right now and it goes straight to my heart :wub2:

"I was given this crown. You see festivals season is almost over. And even if we're going to do one in Spain after this one and another one in Paris this one is the last one in August so for me technically it is the last summer one but we festival creatures of course we are going to spend the rest of the year going to the supermarket habillès exactement comme ça but tonight you're looking at me and you say: "Everything's fine" and when you meet me at Lidl (supermarket) and I'm dressed like this you're gonna tell me: "Is everything ok?" And you see music like festivals is something magical, a sort of magic potion which can turn a plastic crown made in a factory very far from here but only during ninety minutes it becomes a true crown. So when the rain comes and the rain will come, and when back to school sh** starts again.....on va penser à ce ...and to help you I'm giving you the magical recipe. All you have to do is to sing it in the bus at 6:30 in the morning, under the rain and the plastic crown will turn into gold."

When I was walking through the audience someone gave me this crown.

You know, the festivals time is almost over.

Even if there are two more: one in Spain and another one in Paris (Essonne) this one is the last one in August.

It means for me - even if it's not 100% true technically - it's my last summer festival.

And we - festival creatures - will pass the time resting till the end of the year in the supermarkets, in post offices, in MONOPs dressed exactly like this. But tonight you are watching me and saying - it's all OK. But when you stumble on me in Lidl and I am dressed like this, you will ask me: Are you OK?

You see, music, as well as festivals is magical. It's like a magic potion. It can transform a crown made of plastic in a factory far away from here. And just for 90 minutes it becomes a real (crown).

So when the rains arrives - and the rain WILL arrive.

And when the s**t of coming back to school arrives  - we will think about this weekend of Roi Arthur.

And to help you I will give you a magic recipe. It's enough to sing on the bus, at 6am in the rain and the plastic crown will become a golden crown.

La la la la la la la...
