Following escalation of hostilities, I am launching an emergency appeal for the children of #Lebanon with #UNICEF.

More than 1.3 million children are threatened by the escalating conflict, and over 300,000 have already been displaced.

#UNICEF is on the ground delivering life-saving humanitarian aid : food, medicine, basic necessities and access to drinking water.

Your donation today can provide essential supplies and life-saving care to children and families displaced by the conflict. Even a small amount can make a big difference.

Today, the children of #Lebanon need your help. Thank you so much.

Merci !

Thought this topic needed its own thread, so I've moved your posts, @Kumazzz

Also, wanted to note -- because we recently concluded our annual fundraiser for UNHCR, which is already on the ground, providing aid to the many recently displaced people in Lebanon, I don't feel comfortable starting up *another* fundraiser here. However, I do urge you to support Mika's UNICEF appeal -- visit uni.cf/mika for more details.

Closer to home for me -- more than 220 have been killed, I don't know how many left homeless, by the recent Hurricane Helene. Hundreds of thousands still without electricity or drinkable water, many with nowhere to stay, still missing family members. I have friends and family in North Carolina, one of the hardest hit areas...

And the war in Ukraine still rages on.

The world is a little messed up right now and so many people need help.  :(
