meimei88
Mika, Living in Cartoon Motion POPJOURNALISM.CA - Toronto, ON. Canada REVIEWED BY ROBERT BALLANTYNE, POSTED ON MARCH 6, 2007 4/5 Eclectic in a good way, Mika's debut opens with the infectious lead single, "Grace Kelly," a sarcastically sunny slice of disco-pop. Surprisingly, Life in Cartoon Motion is as consistently good as that single  a one-hit wonder he's not. Still, Cartoon Motion is front-loaded, as the first four tracks are the best, including the aforementioned "Kelly," "Lollipop," "My Interpretation" and "Love Today." Hilariously, Mika delivers his radio-friendly falsetto pop with a knowing insincerity, which works, ironically, whether you're in on the joke or not. Nell
'Sarcastically sunny' - love that. Sounds like this guy has got closer than many to understanding a lot of what LICM is about?
