Anyway, on my search for low cost flights I found a LCC that flies on Newcastle from several places in Europe, also from Amsterdam: http://www.jet2.com/ Good to keep in mind just in case the meet up will be in Newcastle! I was thinking of my military boots, I wear them while horseriding and they are even resistant to hoofs. That might be very practical in crowds, I hate people standing on my toes.
