I've loved The Ark since I was 11, and I'm still going strong! and btw, pretty much AAAALLL of the The Ark fans I know LOVE Mika. lol. (but I mean, who wouldn't?). And the singer is a native swede, but probably with a different accent than what you might have heard earlier. lol, you should hear him speak english, sooo cute XD he's the only one I know of who can make scandoenglish sound sweet.
